Trampolines recalled due to fall hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall of approximately 60,000 Skywalker Holdings trampolines.

The recall is for the Skywalker Holdings 13-foot square Trampoline and Enclosure Combo that was sold at stores and online from January 2007 through February 2009.

The trampolines are being recalled becuase of faulty straps which support the top of the trampoline's enclosure to the poles.  The faulty straps cause the potential danger of the enclosure dropping which could pose the risk of someone falling off of the trampoline.

There have been at least 250 reports of the trampoline straps breaking.   So far no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
