Bridgestone Motorcycle Tire Recall

Today the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a recall on Bridgestone Motorcycle Tires.  The motorcycle tire recall was issued for 1,018 Bridgestone Exedra G850 G tires size 180/70R16 77H.

The recall was issued because the motorcycles which these tires were sold with, 2008 and 2009 Triumph Rocket III touring motorcycles, are too high torque for what the tire can withstand.  Torque induced degradation in the bogy ply which may result in innerlining cracking that may lead to a slow leak in the tire.

The recall only applies to the back tire of the Triump Rocket III, but if the problem occurs while driving it poses the risk of causing a motorcycle accident.

The tires being recalled were produced between May 27, 2007 and October 18, 2008.  If you own these tires please contact Bridgestone at 1-800-465-1904.

If you have been affected by this motorcycle tire recall or any other defective product please contact Frank J. Dito Staten Island personal injury lawyer.
