59 people injured in a 3 vehicle crash on the BQE

Fifty-nine people are injured after a three vehicle pile up on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway which occurred around 10:30 am this morning.  

The crash consisted of a casino bus, a school bus and a tractor trailer truck and occurred in the eastbound lane of the BQE.

Six of the injured people involved in the accident were taken to the Woodhull and Wyckoff hospitals; the other fifty-three injured were treated at the scene.  

The exact cause of the accident is still unknown at this time.
